Welcome to my home and my website!

Karen and Karamor Pup

In 1976, I purchased my first Golden Retriever and soon thereafter joined both the Golden Retriever Club of America and the Golden Retriever Club of Greater St. Louis.  These organizations helped lay the foundation for my future in Golden Retrievers, both as an exhibitor and as a breeder, and sparked my enthusiasm for competing in the conformation ring.  I continue to this day to be an active member of both clubs and have served multiple terms as the President, Secretary and board member of the Golden Retriever Club of Greater St. Louis.

I've also served in many other positions over the past 30+ years including Show Chairman (for National, Regional and independent specialties), Webmaster, Newsletter Editor, Health Clinic Chairman and WC/WCX Chairman.   I served as the Yearbook Editor for the 1988 GRCA Yearbook, the GRCA Specialty Advisor in 2001, and was on the GRCA National Specialty Task Force in 2009 and the GRCA Nominating Committee in 2010.

I bred my first litter of Golden Retrievers in 1980 under the Karamor prefix and have always adhered to the philosophy of quality--not quantity--in my breeding program.  I hope you'll visit both the GRCA and GRC-GSL websites mentioned above for more detailed information on the breed, breeder's referral contacts, and links to other dog-related sites.

My Garden of Eden

The GRCA provides puppy referral as a convenience to puppy buyers to find out about breeders who are GRCA members and their litters. GRCA takes no responsibility whatsoever for any puppies/dogs that you may acquire through GRCA puppy referral. GRCA is not responsible for any breeder’s sale practices and sales contracts, nor will GRCA be involved in any manner in contract disputes between puppy buyers and breeders. Availability of puppies and conditions of sale are at the sole discretion of the individual breeder. Buyers are encouraged to read ACQUIRING A GOLDEN RETRIEVER, as found on the grca.org web-site,  for general information about obtaining a puppy, to take as much time as necessary to locate a reputable breeder from whom they feel comfortable purchasing a puppy, and to investigate breeders and their puppies thoroughly before committing to a purchase. You are not obligated to purchase a puppy from the breeders whose names you obtain from GRCA puppy referral.

Looking for A Puppy?

I have no future plans for breeding a litter, so if  you're looking for a puppy or would just like more information about Golden Retrievers, I would encourage you to contact our local club's Breeder Referral chairman,  Suzanne Wakefield via phone (636-677-1273) or email Goldenreferral@aol.com   She will be able to provide you with a list of reputable breeders expecting puppies in the St. Louis area.  If none are available locally, I would recommend checking with the GRCA's Central Regional Puppy Referral chairmen at this link:
